Week 7
This weeks workshops was EXCELLENT!! it realy helped me to remember how to use the excel progam. Despite having used the progam in year nine I couldn’t believe how much I’d forgotten in so little time. Many of the new links and formula’s I had never even used or seen before, it was just a big surprise as to what i actually knew about this program to what i thought i knew about Excel. The other thing that really surprised me was how many uses excel has in terms of teaching for example :In this weeks study guide it explains some examples of when the teacher may use this program. From the study guide the examples include:
- Grade books and recording marks
- School class expense budget
- Creating socio-grams for tracking
- Creating class seating charts
- Class lists
- Designing spelling lists
However personally i believe there can be many more uses, such as
- designing worksheets for students,
- recording marks in a visual manner, i.e a graph of some kind such as a pie graph etc.
I really can’t wait until the next lesson. where i hope to learn even more than i did last week.
